On June 2, 2007, Bret Michaels was a surprise last minute guest on Eddie Trunk Rocks FM radio show live in NYC on Q104.3.
Bret talked Poison, his VH1 reality ahow and also revealed exclusively that "Mike Tramps White Lion" is no longer on the tour.

Just back from a quick trip to LA for a VH1 Classic shoot with Poison to cover their upcoming new all covers CD. The guys in the band are all getting along great and are truly good people. CC is in great shape, very healthy, and about to become a Dad for the first time! Heard some of the new music the guys are doing and it sounded very cool. Don Was is once again producing and it was cool to meet and talk with him as well. The interview will air in a few months once the CD is done and it looks like a Poison tour is in the works for this Summer. When the interview airs most of the talk was about the fight on stage, and of course what they are doing now. Also had the chance to talk with Slash for a while as VR is doing their new CD at the same studio. Slash mentioned that he liked my Turntable's segments on VH1 Classic, which was cool to hear (by the way, shooting more of those next week with my bud Jim Breuer). Heard some of the new VR through the studio door and it sounded killer! I thought the first album was OK, but Slash said this one is much better, and it sounded like it! I'll have some photos from the Poison interview posted soon.
Tuesday night I hung in LA with CC and Bobby from Poison, James Lomenzo (now of Megadeth) and Chris Jericho at the famous Rainbow in Hollywood. James is excited for the new Megadeth CD and upcoming tour with Heaven & Hell. CJ will be back in NYC soon and we will do a metal summit show for sure. Chris is working on several projects and it was good to see him as well. Fun night and thanks to Bobby for picking up the tab!
I landed from LA late Thursday night and my heart dropped when Snake Sabo called me to tell me he heard that Ace Frehley had passed away. I called Ace right away and was never so happy to hear him answer the phone! How this stuff starts I'll never know? Ace is fine and very focused on a new CD at the moment. He has never been more healthy. Ironically, as I told Ace about this rumour, he told me he had just come from a wake, but it was not his thank God!
The G&R album does not look like it's coming out now on the Axl announced date of March 6th (is anyone really surprised?). Bumblefoot was on my XM show last Monday and he said he does play on the CD and it is close, but could not talk in detail about it. Also, bummer to hear the VH thing fell apart for now (again, surprised?). Hope this will happen and with the original members. There is some talk that Roth insisted that Michael Anthony is part of it, which I get. Not only does it balance the power a bit, but Mike sings so many of the high parts in the songs and anchors the band. Nothing against Wolfie, but he has to be there if/when this happens in my opinion.

Released June 5 on CD and digitally, POISON'D! sold 21,401 units in its first week. Starting tonight in Greenville, SC, Poison will hit more than 50 U.S. cities this summer on their "POISON'D! 2007" tour. The national tour, with RATT joining Poison for most of the dates, includes stops in and around New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and other major tour markets across the country.
Featuring Poison's original members, Bret Michaels (vocals), C.C. DeVille (guitar), Rikki Rockett (drums) and Bobby Dall (bass), and produced by Don Was, POISON'D! presents the band's first new studio recordings since 2002's Hollyweird. Since Poison's 1986 debut, Look What The Cat Dragged In, the band has sold more than 25 million records and DVDs worldwide.
Produced by Don Was at Hensen Recording Studios in Hollywood, POISON'D! packs 13 explosive cover songs, including new recordings of David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "You're Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You," Sweet's "Little Willy," The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers." Some of Poison's best previously recorded covers are also featured on POISON'D!, including KISS' "Rock and Roll All Nite," Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band" and Loggins & Messina's "Your Mama Don't Dance." At Wal*Mart, the CD also includes an exclusive bonus track, Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack."
In July, VH1 will premiere a new reality show, "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." VH1's description of the show has "the hard-rockin' Poison front man looking for a woman who can truly keep up with his rock-n-roll lifestyle and not become jealous of his one true passion -- performing, which has been the reason for and destruction of most of his relationships."
In 1986, Poison released their debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In. After years of hard work, touring and controversy, radio and MTV finally took notice of the band and their music, propelling Poison into superstardom. Look What the Cat Dragged In peaked at #3 on the Billboard album charts, charted three singles and sold more than four million copies.
The band's 1988 follow-up, Open Up and Say%u2026Ahh! went Platinum two weeks after its release. The single "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" hit #1 on Billboard's Singles chart and the album sold more than seven million units. 1990's Flesh & Blood featured a second Gold single, "Unskinny Bop," and the album went multi-Platinum.
In 1991, amidst inner fighting, alcohol, drug abuse and road stories that would make a porn star blush, guitarist C.C. DeVille and singer Bret Michaels collided in an all out fist-fight seconds after leaving the stage of the MTV Music Video Awards (right between Cindy Crawford's high heels and Eddie Van Halen's sneakers). C.C. DeVille left the band.
Through the '90s, Poison continued to tour arenas and amphitheatres and recorded the Platinum Native Tongue and Crack A Smile. After five years of not speaking, Michaels and DeVille met up in 1999 and, with their chemistry and friendship quickly rekindled, the band went into the studio to record Power To The People. One of the most successful reunion tours of all time followed the album's release.
Last April, Poison rocketed into the Billboard Top 20 with the #17 debut of the band's 20th anniversary hits collection, The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock (Capitol/EMI). The 18-track hits collection was soon certified gold, and Poison tore through the summer of 2006 on their highly successful "20 Years Of Rock" North American concert tour.

Hot on the heels of VH1's record-breaking shows "Flavor of Love" and "I Love New York" comes a fresh new take on this wildly exciting relationship show. Known as the bandana-clad, blue-eyed lead singer/songwriter from one of today's legendary rock bands, Bret Michaels has been handpicked by VH1 and producers Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego to take this series to all new heights of rock 'n' roll insanity! The hard-rockin' Poison frontman is looking for a woman who can truly keep up with his rock 'n' roll lifestyle and not become jealous of his one true passion — performing which has been the reason for and destruction of most of his relationships. As VH1's hottest eligible bachelor, a bevy of beauties will vie to win his heart in the new series "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" premiering in July.
With twenty years of continuous multi-platinum success, sold-out tours and a couple of high-profile relationships that never led to the altar, Michaels is ready to wear his heart on his sleeve. The series will focus on the never-before-revealed private side of Michaels.
With that said, the casting executives have received an overwhelming response from female fans of all ages. Residing with Michaels in his Los Angeles rock palace, these women will be tested on their devotion to him and their love and understanding of all that is rock 'n' roll.
To help narrow the field, Michaels will put these women through various challenges. The ladies who win these challenges will join Michaels on some wild and exclusive excursions, while those who can't hang like true backstage VIPs will be escorted out in bona fide rock star fashion.
Whether it's partying on the tour bus, jetting-off to a sun-kissed beach, or hanging with Michaels' celebrity friends, this 10-part series follows these lucky ladies on the rollercoaster ride of their lives. They'll all get a taste of living the rock star life, but in the end, only one lucky lady will win an all access pass to his heart.
VH1's "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" is created and executive-produced by Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego for Mindless Entertainment and 51 Pictures, who also produce the record-breaking "Flavor of Love," "I Love New York," "The Surreal Life" and "My Fair Brady." Ben Samek also executive-produces for the company. The production teams' programming launched VH1 into their highest ratings ever and their ratings continue to outperform their previous successes.
Jeff Olde, Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly, Leah Horwitz and Michael Hirschorn oversee the series for VH1.
When I went live on the internet on January 7, 1997, the Poison presence on the web was certainly underwhelming. But in the over two years since, Poison sites have multiplied rapidly. Now, as the oldest Poison web site on the internet, I have compiled the comprehensive list of Poison links. If you find any on the internet that aren't listed here, don't hesitate to e-mail me!
Official Sites: Poison Web
The Official Poison Web Site. Run by Rikki Rockett, it is the best source for news straight from the band.
Capitol Records
Capitol Record's Poison Site. Fairly straight forward, with a good biography of the band, and little else.
Bret Michaels Entertainment
Bret Michael's Official Home Page. Features information on his movies and soundtracks, in addition to some great Poison news.
Rikki Rockett's Homepage
Poison's Drummer. He has parts for his animal activism, comic books and more. Also a very cool "online drums" set that is fun to fool around with.
Cleopatra Records
Here is the homepage for the label which released the Tribute To Poison by Bret Michaels.
Active Poison Fan Sites: Poison Web Page
Perhaps the best source for Poison on the internet besides this site. Scott has been active for about as long as we have.
The Poison Ring
A web ring linking together dozens of Poison related sites. Also features some cool online Poison greeting cards.
Jeff and Eric's Poison Page
One of the more complete Poison pages out there, with some tabs and other great stuff.
Kick Ass Poison Page
One of the oldest Poison site out there, has an amateurish look, but some decent features.
